Company Description

AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine currently offers regionally accredited master's-level and doctoral-level graduate programs.

The Academy of Oriental Medicine, located in Austin, Texas, is a graduate school of integrative medicine offering degrees in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. As AOMA is a functioning facility that conducts more than 20,000 visits each year, students will receive a hands-on education. AOMA combines traditional academics, Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine studies with real world application and clinical rotations in order to give students a thorough and well-rounded education. This school also incorporates Asian mind-body practices such as Tai Chi and Qigong into the curriculum, and students begin their clinical education during their first term. Admissions requirements for AOMA dictate that applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or higher, a minimum GPA of 2.5, and a personal statement prepared in addition to their current resume and two letters of reference. Students are also asked to submit their college transcripts, two passport-sized headshots, copies of any professional licenses or certificates, and a nonrefundable application fee. AOMA does offer financial aid, but students must complete at least 38 credits in four terms, in addition to demonstrating financial need, in order to qualify for federal financial aid. This school offers assistance through payment plans, federal and state grants, private scholarships and loans. In addition to tuition and an application fee, AOMA has various program-related fees. Foreign exchange students are asked to pay a larger application fee, and students must pay a make-up fee for any missed course exams.
