Bio/Description

A management consultant with a primary focus on merger integration and leadership development, he has a wealth of experience in mergers, integrations and executive leadership, largely gained in a career spanning 34 years at Hewlett-Packard. Prior to retiring from Hewlett-Packard, he was the EVP leading HP's ongoing merger integration and global citizenship efforts, as well as HP's organizational effectiveness and governance initiatives. He co-led HP's post-merger integration team responsible for the planning and integration of HP and Compaq's systems, processes and people. During his career at HP, he served as President for the Business Customer Organizatio, with responsibility for worldwide sales, marketing and delivery of HP products and services to large, medium, and small businesses. In 1999, he was appointed Vice President and General Manager of the PC business within the HP Computing Systems Organization. In this role, he had worldwide responsibility for the development, manufacturing and marketing of the Personal Systems Group's commercial desktop, mobile computing and server business. He previously held General Manager positions running HP's Home Products Division, PC Software Division, Cooperative Object Computing Division and Santa Clara Information Systems Division. He serves on the boards of 4 non-profit organizations: Resource Area For Teaching (RAFT), The American Leadership Forum of Silicon Valley (ALF), Alearn, and Civic Ventures. He also serves on the board of Smart Modular Technologies. He holds a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
