ABOUT THE ARCHIVE-IT SEARCH

When you search the IT Historical Sites you are searching a comprehensive digital archive of web pages created from our list of live websites. The sites are captured and stored every 30 days through Archive-It, a web archiving service. Archive-It, a subscription service from the Internet Archive, allows institutions to build and preserve collections of digital content creating Digital Archives. Through a user-friendly web application, Archive-It partners can harvest, catalog, manage, and browse their archived collections. Collections are hosted and stored at the Internet Archive data center and are easily accessible with full-text search.

This catalog of resource sites concerning IT history is the only one of its kind and is a valuable resource for IT historians and archivists alike. The information is submitted by our members and we check the links frequently. If you should find any errors or discover information that needs to be corrected, please contact us at: info@IThistory.org
