Apceth is a biopharmaceutical company (foundation 11/2007) dedicated to the development and clinical implementation of innovative cell and gene therapeutics based on stem cells for the treatment of malignant and nonmalignant diseases. Apceth aspires to set up the highest standards for manufacturing, quality and safety of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs). The company operates within unique state-of-the-art GMP/S2 facilities comprising separate Cleanroom suites class C and class B/A, Quality Control Units and R&D laboratories. After obtaining the Manufacturing License (§13 of AMG) for production of somatic cell therapeutics in 10/2010, Apceth commenced its first clinical trial Phase I/II for the treatment of critical limb ischemia in 03/2011. As of 2011 Apceth offers contract GMP-manufacturing and associated services for cell-based products.
