Bar Stars is a social discovery application designed to take all of the logistical, social, and emotional aspects of going out to bars. They enable its users to engage with each other in bars. It uses device location to show the number of other users, average age of the users, guy/girl ratio, and the number of Facebook friends the user has in nearby bars. The app is on the iOS platform. Bar Stars was founded by Joe Wernig and Alex Lourido in 2015; and is headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, United States.
