The Cake Development Corporation, also known as CakeDC, is the commercial entity behind the CakePHP framework. Created in 2007 by Larry Masters, the founder of CakePHP, the company is dedicated to offering expert consultancy and development services for companies which use the framework as their platform technology. CakeDC also offers professional training courses for developers on best practices and correct usage of the CakePHP framework. Additionally, the company helps support the Open Source project by maintaining the CakePHP assets, such as the main websites, as well as organizing the annual CakeFest conference.
