Capiton is a proprietary financial investor, which participates in management buyouts and expansion financing for larger medium-sized companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The roots of the capiton range back to the end of the 70s. Capiton is run by ten partners. The capiton II investment program (€ 186 million) was fully invested in the period 2003 to 2006. The successor program capiton III (€ 250 million) took further new investments on until the end of 2009. Between 2010 and early 2014, the new fund capiton IV (€ 350 million) was available for new investments. Capiton completed the final closing of its fund capiton V in February 2015 with reaching the 'hard cap' of € 440 million. Preference is given to high-yield companies with sales between 50 and 500 million euros.
