Dextr is a usability-based virtual keyboard for smartphones and tablets. It is targeted at a range of users who form the 'mobile-only generation'. Dextr is designed to deliver a simpler text input experience across a range of touchscreen apps. Its novel and patent-pending features include an alphabetic layout, buttons designed to map to the size, shape and spacing of a human fingertip, and a range of layouts to suit the full range of text input styles -- from one finger to two thumb to one-handed/five-fingered. Dextr is still currently completing its international alpha testing phase, with a beta launch due in November 2013.
