Echo from DfyGraviti is a new TV navigation experience paradigm that leverages the smartphone and puts user in complete control of their TV usage. Echo is a combination small dongle attached to TV and a mobile app which shifts the navigation to the mobile in new ways. Echo is not an EPG app. Where it fundamentally differs is in its interface design, it does not replicate the number keypad in the app again. Instead users could type or issue voice commands to jump to channel of choice. For ex user can type 'All Tom Cruise Movies' which will show list of channels currently running movies starring Tom Cruise. This is a same kind of fundamental transition that happened in the web in the 90s where web navigation moved from bookmarks era (yahoo) to free text search era(google).
