DMOnetworks developed a Direct-Mode technology which enables mobile devices to communicate with each other, no network needed. Each device can also act as a repeater, extending the range of operation and overcoming physical obstacles (Underground, high rise buildings, mines etc.). The devices, acting as repeaters, create an ad hoc mesh network. Direct-Mode technology can be integrated in mobile devices, as software on the base band chip or external devices, such as RSMs. Direct-Mode by DMOnetworks delivers mission critical quality of voice and allows for User ID allocation, easy setting of groups and seamless bridging between on/off network communication.
