Turkey based start-up Do Major has been founded to fill gaps between music education and technology. Their recently launched website, myChordBook (www.mychordbook.com) is a song lyrics & chords platform. Users can see fingering positions of different instruments on the page as they are listening a song from YouTube. Additionally, website includes all the tools a musician needs such as tuner, metronome, chord & scale diagrams and ability to create playlists. The company also developed world’s first internet controlled smart instrument: Easy Guitar (www.mychordbook.com/easyguitar). Easy Guitar is a beginner classical guitar that has LEDs embedded on its fingerboard and a USB connection panel. User plugs Easy Guitar to its computer and opens the website. With a single button click Easy Guitar connects to myChordBook without any software installation. Afterwards, as an add-on, it also displays fingering positions on its fingerboard as the user listens his/her favourite song from YouTube. This method is more fun and easier than the conventional instrument learning methods. Anybody can start learning instruments with their favorite songs without losing their interest.
