Company Description

DriverMetrics is the world’s number one behavioural driver safety programme

Founded at Cranfield University by Dr Lisa Dorn, DriverMetrics is a scientifically validated driver risk management programme proven to reduce road collisions by changing driver behaviour. DriverMetrics has been used by over 300,000 fleet drivers in over 45 countries. In the UK this includes drivers from Balfour Beatty, Keuhne & Nagel, RBS, Schneider Electric, Arriva Bus UK, and several emergency services, among others; and globally this includes companies such as Shell, Ackzo Nobel, Imperial Tobacco, Stanley Black and Decker and Unilever. Most driver risk management programmes and technologies target driver skill (i.e. mastery of vehicle operation). DriverMetrics takes a different approach by focusing on improving driver behaviour (i.e. by profiling personality-based emotional responses to driving) given that this is the principal contributing factor in the majority of road traffic crashes. The DriverMetrics programme begins with the Driver Risk Index, the world’s most scientifically validated and globally benchmarked, commercially available behavioural driver risk assessment. It also encompasses state-of-the-art e-learning, specialist workshops and one-to-one driver coaching based on science and research.
