Company Description

Duke robotics develops an advanced robotics systems

Duke Robotic Systems has developed a stabilization system that allows the attached object, such as a weapon or a camera, to be minimally affected by an airborne vehicle's vibrations. This is achieved by actively compensating with rapid movements of the actuators, giving the system stability in all three rotation axes and the ability to compensate for movements in three planes. The technology is part of a fully robotic weapon system for an airborne platform that also has smart suppression fire capabilities. Using gunfire-locating sensors, the system detects when the helicopter is being fired at, and directs the weapon to the source, minimizing the response time. The system is designed for the Sikorsky Black Hawk and the MI-17 helicopters. It is also suitable for marine applications.
