At Dynamic Surgical, we’ve engineered a new class of robotic materials that can switch their strength and flexibility with the touch of a button. When coupled with flexible tools, these materials provide both dexterity and control, enabling minimally invasive procedures in the office, instead of the operating room. With this technology in hand, we aim to shorten patient delays, improve physician reimbursements, and lower payer costs. Our introductory device, FlexSleeve, is a shape-locking sleeve for endoscopes. In its flexible state, FlexSleeve allows surgeons to navigate through delicate body cavities to reach confined spaces of interest. Once the instrument is in position, FlexSleeve can be 'rigidified' on command, enabling tissue manipulation with surgical precision.
