EasyPeasy is a cloud operating system for netbooks. It combines the power of open source with easy access to web applications. Distributed in 2007, it is argued to be the first customized Linux operating system for netbooks. EasyPeasy is based on Ubuntu and Debian, and is operated as an open source project. It created buzz when the community introduced that the OS favors well known proprietary software and web applications instead of free and open source software alternatives, when the functionality offered is deemed better by its developers and users.
