ECM Technologies is a Texas A&M University-based start-up that utilizes bacterial-derived proteins as a platform for designing collagens for biomedical needs. Unlike many extracellular matrix materials, these Designer Collagens are not animal derived and can be genetically customized with cell instructive cues tailored to specific applications. Designer Collagens can fill the gap between current extracellular matrix technology and available biomaterials to improve clinical outcomes in regenerative medicine.
