Ecoles de Saint-Cyr Coetquidan is the foremost French military academy. Founded by Napoleon Bonaparte, Ecoles de Saint-Cyr Coetquidan owes the creation of the Special Military School (ESM) of Saint-Cyr in 1802. She moved to Saint-Cyr near Versailles in 1808. For 150 years it formed there elite officers.
