Equiniche Sciences Ltd was established to bring new and innovative solutions based on sound scientific principles and practical knowledge to the global equine sector. The first product is a novel hay feeder, the Harmony Equine Feeder, that mimics natural grazing by feeding hay at ground level in a controlled manner. It will be launched this year with a particular focus on the racehorse market. Over 96% of racehorses in training suffer from stomach ulcers caused by a lack of availability of hay throughout the entire day. Ulcers can be managed naturally by providing small amounts of hay all day/night with this new feeder which only needs to be filled once daily. This represents a significant saving both in terms of treatments for ulcers, time spent feeding and hay wastage. There is no comparable product on the market. Patent and design applications have been filed for the product.
