ETA Automatizari Industriale is a telematics specialized company that offers the SafeFleet fleet management solution and several other M2M solutions. The company has 34 employees and generated revenues of € 1.8 million in 2011. The X700 in house developed OBU reached version 35. SafeFleet Portal is a web-based multi-tennant application for fleet management and dispatching, it has a strong service provisioning component enabling OTAP, diagnose, parametrization, SIM card management and expense control, hardware version and software version control. It delivers daily and monthly activity reports, data collected from the various buses in the vehicle and communication with the drivers via SMS and/or their connected PNDs. The first version of this system was implemented in 2002 at a local public transport company. The company has now over 21,000 monitored vehicles among 900 clients mainly in Romania, but also in Italy, Kosovo, Turkey, Albania, Georgia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Russia, US and Brasil.
