ExtremePhoto, a new iTunes application that promises to make your pictures so extreme they might blow up your phone, is now available in the App Store. The application is free to download, with in-app purchases for .99c and uses explosions, body builders, sharks, flaming vans, tanks, and more explosions to rid your Instagram of over-filtered sunsets and fruit arrangements. ExtremePhoto is social by nature, and features one-touch sharing to your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and email, so tell your grandmother sorry but she will no longer be “liking” your social media photos. “The idea for ExtremePhoto, like many great things, came on a bus to Mammoth after a few beers. My friends (now cofounders) and I were frightened for the future of social media what with so many photos of kale smoothies and the sky clogging our feeds. We wanted to create something to reverse this trend, and would allow people to stare down explosions, wear American flag bandanas, sport moustaches like Burt Reynolds, and wrestle with giant imposing men at the touch of a button” CEO Drew Ligget says.
