FAMILO - The Family & Friends Location Messenger Familonet GmbH developed the smartphone application FAMILO, which uses intelligent geolocation features to help families and groups of friends, colleagues, or roommates all over the world to improve communication in their daily lives. The company’s mission is to offer easy-to-use precise location technology and allow group members to share their locations with their families or group whenever necessary. Every user’s privacy is guaranteed at all times because location sharing is voluntary. The app is user friendly for all age groups. Being “Made in Germany“, FAMILO provides a high quality service and product with low battery consumption. In 2014, Familonet won the MobileTech Award and the Webfuture Award, which honours Germany’s most innovative mobile companies. Familonet joined the Business Incubator Centre of the European Space Agency (ESA) in 2015. More than 900,000 customers already use the app worldwide. Core markets include Brazil, India, Germany, Turkey, and the USA.
