Since February 2013 Italiaonline brings together all the brands and assets of Matrix S.p.a. and Libero S.r.l, following the acquisition of Matrix by Libero, concluded in November 2012, and the merger of Matrix S.p.A. into Italiaonline S.r.l. concluded in December 2013. At the end of April 2014 Italiaonline S.r.l. is transformed into Italiaonline S.p.A. Directly controlled by Libero Acquisition S.à r.l. - owned by the Sawiris family, former owner of Wind Telecommunications and global player in the telecommunications industry – and the funds GoldenTree Asset Management Lux S. à r.l., GoldenTree SG Partners L.P., GT NM LP, San Bernardino County Employees’ Retirement Association, GL Europe Luxembourg S. à r.l. Italiaonline now includes the portals Libero.it and Virgilio.it, the web magazines superEva, Di·Lei, Total Tech, QuiFinanza, SportStadio, MotorLife, SiViaggia, CiboDiStrada and FoodInItaly, the utility 1254, the video platform ViTV, the web advertising agencies National ADV and Local ADV: the brands generate a total turnover of 100 million euros in annual revenues. On March 2015 Italiaonline acquired from DADA the 100% of its subsidiary Moqu Adv S.r.l., digital media company based in Florence and Dublin, focused on Performance Advertising with one of the most skilled team. On May 21st 2015 Italiaonline, Libero Sàrl, Avenue and GoldenTree have signed an investment agreement for the integration of Italiaonline S.p.A. and SEAT Pagine Gialle SpA. On January 20th 2016 the two companies have approved the merger by incorporation of Italiaonline in SEAT, whose strategic objective is the creation of the Italian market leader in the digital advertising for large accounts and local marketing services for SMEs. The union of Libero and Matrix gave life to the largest Italian digital group, first national internet company and third player in Italy’s web market immediately after Google and Facebook.
