Plate.im is a social network that enables users to reach other car owners via plate, make, and model details. This application is focused on making the traffic experience enjoyable. Users can become members by submitting their plate number and gain immediate access to a community of car owners. The app allows users to socialize with other members, search for car owners by plate numbers, chat, warn about traffic conjunctions, call for help when they run out of gas, warn a driver whose car is being towed away, and send messages if other plate.im members have parked in a no parking lot. The mobile app can be downloaded at the Apple store. Plate.im was launched in October 2013.
