Telecommunications Industry Association is a trade association that represents the global information and communications technology industry through standards development, policy initiatives, business opportunities, market intelligence, and networking events. The organization seeks to enhance the business environment for companies involved in telecom, broadband, mobile wireless, information technology, networks, cable, satellite, unified communications, emergency communications, and the greening of technology.  It is also engaged with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Telecommunications Industry Association was founded in 1924 and is based in Arlington, Virginia.
