Hardware Description

The Apple Macintosh PowerBook 3400c/180, codenamed Hooper, features a 180 MHz PowerPC 603e processor, 16 MB of RAM, a 1.3 GB hard drive, zoomed video support, "hot-swappable" drive bays, and a four speaker sound system in a portable black case with a 12.1" color active-matrix screen. The built-in display of the PowerBook 3400c/180 supports 16-bit color, and also can mirror up-to 16-bit color on an external monitor. The PowerBook 3400 series made its mark by being the first series of PowerBooks fast enough to actually replace, rather than complement, a desktop system.
