HITAC L-770

Dramatically enhanced functionality was achieved by using 530,000 transistor BICMOS VLSI in the top-end HITAC L-780 Processor Group, and 100,000 gate CMOS VLSI in the HITAC L-750∼770 Processor Group. Models in the HITAC L-750 processor group or higher supported the new OS MIOS7/AS. They also provided support for the "BELIEVE" intelligent document recognition feature, which was based on sophisticated image recognition technology and knowledge processing technology. This feature enabled recognition of the form and content of documents which were read in, and automatic creation of processing programs suited to those documents. Support was also provided for "Everrun", and high-reliability was achieved.
