Hardware Description
Nokia 6090 was released by Nokia in 1999.
The peak output power is 8W. When the coverage is not too good, instead of raising your voice, repeating what you say, or reinitiating an interrupted call, the Nokia 6090 phone automatically peaks up to 8 W in order to maintain the best possible connection. The receiver sensibility is also set as specified by regulation bodies.
Ergonomics:
Automatic answer of incoming calls
Speed dialing: For up to 8 names (1 is always for voice mail)
Last number redial from dialed calls list (e.g. scroll-up from idle)
Closed user group (this feature allows to receive and initiate calls only to/from selected phone lines
Recent calls list:
Memory for 5 last numbers dialed/received/missed
Time stamp for calls lists
Automatic erasure of call lists when SIM card is changed
Network Related:
Automatic, manually or via AT-commands selectable network selection can enable substantial savings while roaming
Fixed dialing numbers allow calls only to predefined numbers that the owner of the SIM card has chosen; it is protected by a code (PIN2) that the user of the phone may not be aware of, it is also SIM card dependent
Emergency calls 112 (number operates in specific countries only) without SIM-card and with key locked phone
Call ID control allows the user to see who is calling; this feature depends on the contract you have with your operator
Call timers: Advice of charge; charge meters, charge limiting, currency handling
Security:
Electronic keyguard (menu *)
Security code; PIN1, PIN2 (when a non-owner SIM card is inserted)
Power Control:
Ignition switching time-out selectable from 45 seconds to 24 hours
Automatic power off mode can be disabled
