As a public broadcaster, ABC Television provides four non-commercial channels within Australia, and a partially advertising-funded satellite channel overseas. Their services include national radio networks such as triple j and Radio National, additional TV networks such as ABC3 for Kids and News 24, the iview internet catch-up service, ABC Online and mobile devices, and international services such as Radio Australia and Australia Network. The organization employs more than 4500 staff in 60 locations around Australia, along with 13 overseas bureaus. ABC Television was launched in 1956 as a service of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and is based in Sydney, Australia.
