ZebraPass leads the wireless ticketing and mobile commerce revolution by empowering movie theaters, entertainment venues, sports teams, and online ticketing portals worldwide with a system to better manage ticket and concession sales, as well as one-to-one marketing and consumer loyalty programs. The ZebraPass system premiered in June 2000 at the New Malibu Theater in Malibu, California. The ZebraPass business model is centered on enhancing revenue streams for entertainment venues and sports teams worldwide. Currently enabled by smart cards, the ZebraPass system has been created for a seamless transition to Bluetooth-enabled wireless devices such as cell phones, PDAs and other consumer appliances. The consumer logs onto the entertainment or sports venue's Web site using a PC or any Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) device to purchase their ticket, then proceeds directly to the event, avoiding long lines at the box office, ticketing kiosks and concession stands. To maintain consumer security, the ZebraPass system transfers the ticket information and consumer data using the highest level of SSL encryption.
