Motorola was able to take their popular MicroTAC Lite and reduce its weight from 7.7oz to 5.9oz, calling it the MicroTAC Ultra Lite. Like the earlier model, the Ultra Lite featured a dot matrix display and was able to store names in the phone book. In addition, the Ultra Lite was the first phone to feature the optional Vibracall alert, and came packaged with NiMH lite battery, offering 65 minutes talk time or 9 hours standby.
