Hardware Description

The Motorola Silverlink is not a real mobile phone but is also part of the history of telecommunications. At the end of the 80s - the beginning of the 90s was the time of the experiments and the Birdie operation (telepoint network). This technology could not be achieved because GSM networks were put into operation shortly afterwards. In France (France Telecom Bi-Bop) and the Netherlands (PTT Greenpoint), there were similar networks. The Motorola Silverlink 2000 was later offered only as cordless telephone and worked in the CT2 standard. The "Silverlink 2000" models with a height of 15 centimeters, a width of 2.5 centimeters and a weight of 185 grams correspond to the standards CT2 and CAI.
