Bio/Description

Former General Manager at Hewlett Packard. He was co-inventor and general manager of Hewlett Packard's E-speak project in 1999, and was one of the developers of the IA-64 architecture. An IIT Kharagpur alumnus, Gupta received his Ph.D. in compiler optimization from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). He founded Confluent Software (now owned by Oracle Corporation), developing what became the CoreSV product. He also founded Securent (now owned by Cisco) and supports Bodhtree Consulting Ltd (based in Hyderabad) as a technology adviser.
