The Acetronic brand is short for Advanced Consumer Electronics Limited a company that was based in London, England.  Advanced Consumer Electronics, Ltd. was a wholly owned subsidiary of Dixons Group Plc that began operation in 1979 and ceased operation in 1981. They sold video game consoles using technology licensed from Radofin and distributed Intellivision games. Their consoles were based on both the Radofin Tele-sports and the 1292 Advanced Programmable Video System.
