Founded in 2007 by Jacques van Heerden, An1ken started as a design agency that helped clients solve problems with creative solutions. Today An1ken has evolved into a multi-company group that is focused on building businesses based on ethical principles and values that stand strong to traditional roots. While An1ken is still heavily focused on the design industry, we are integrating new companies that will focus on helping people obtain better lifestyles. Our constantly expanding and energetic brand that we are building is neither random nor reckless. We believe that with the correct structuring, input and management we can take hold of emerging opportunities and turn them into successful ventures. Each company runs as its own entity, but is supported by the rest of the group along the way. This helps with establishing new ventures and getting them onto their feet. The success of the group is based on working together and being different(weird) to the traditional companies that you look at today. That is why we always take an unique approach towards something and always encourage people to believe in themselves. With a bit of encouragement you will be amazed at what people can accomplish. Where does the word An1ken come from? An1ken was originally derived from “Any One Can.” An1ken carries with it a very powerful meaning that clearly states you shouldn’t be afraid of taking on a task that others have succeeded at and if they could do it, “Any One Can.” How do you pronounce An1ken? An1ken is pronounced “Ani-kin” with the 1 being pronounced as an I and the e being pronounced as an I as well.
