Analog Design Automation created tools for optimizing analog circuits. It was acquired in 2004.

ADA made tools for large-scale optimization of analog integrated circuits. It was founded in 1999 in Saskatoon, Canada by 6 engineers from the University of Saskatchewan. In May 1999, ADA received a $100,000 R&D grant from the National Research Council. In July 1999, ADA raised $500,000 in a seed round from Jim Hutch, John Montgomery, Ravi Maithel, Joe Vidal, Jerome Konecsni, and Mark Lemmerick. In Nov. 2000, ADA received $8 million in Series A funding from High Street Partners, Intel Capital, Royal Bank Capital Partners, and Synopsys. The Business Development Bank of Canada led ADA's Jan. 2003 Series B round, which also pulled in $8 million.
