Appeleon requires only a JAVA runtime environment and can be combined with different databases.

Appeleon agile environment provides a basis for implementing individual software (web and rich client) three to four times faster than with conventional software development methods. With appeleon, on the one hand, small mini-applications can be built, but also with the implementation partners complex and highly integrated systems with several hundred business objects. Programming knowledge is required by the user only if none of the more than 500 features, which are simply activated in a wizard-supported manner in the web browser, reflect the corresponding requirements.
