Blue Sky’s association with Harbour Air started in 2002 with the aim of producing a feature rich, but flexible system offering more than the “off-the-shelf” enterprise level products that existed back then. Not only were those systems inflexible but they were cost prohibitive. By taking the collaborative approach to these problems, Blue Sky Booking provided a competitively priced solution that customized systems could not match. The goal was to achieve an airline reservation system that would meet the needs of Harbour Air’s expanding network and eventually craft a system that would be easily applicable to other’s in local and global markets in the small to medium sized airline niche, a market not well serviced by such a modular and feature-rich reservation system.
