Capacity Insurance Company (Capacity) was established in 1989 as a Commercial Lines Insurer. Over the past three decades, Capacity has developed a reputation for stability, consistency, and fair claims handling practices. Capacity Insurance Company was acquired in 2009 by Team Focus Insurance Group. Team Focus Insurance Group was established in 2000 as a diversified group of companies serving the Property and Casualty industry. Team Focus Insurance Group is best known by its longest-standing entity, MacNeill Group, with a history stretching back to 1946. MacNeill Group, a subsidiary of Team Focus Insurance Group, is a full-service MGA that provides production, policy management, and infrastructure support to Capacity Insurance Company. Capacity is directed by a team of seasoned insurance executives under the leadership of Douglas W. Bullington, Chairman; Kevin M. Tromer, President; Michael Steinman, EVP, COO; Will Brauer, Chief Underwriting Officer; Peter Prygelski, Chief Financial Officer; and Skip Whitlock, SVP, Claims. Capacity is focused on package coverages for light mercantile and offices, lessor’s risk, gas stations, houses of worship, trade contractors, funeral homes and other small to mid-sized businesses.
