Chase Manhattan offers more than 5,100 branches and 16,100 ATMs nationwide and has over 260,965 employees (as of 2012) and operates in more than 85 countries. Chase Manhattan was established in 1799 as The Bank of The Manhattan Compnay, after which it was renamed Chase National Bank and finally as The Chase Manhattan Bank in 1955. The company currently operates as JPMorgan Chase, after its merger with JP Morgan & Co.
