The bi-monthly print magazine has six editions each year and covers news, information, and articles related to discoveries and breakthroughs in the field of science. It is backed by an editorial advisory board that includes Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin, ABC Radio’s Robyn Williams, and is chaired by Dr. Alan Finkel, a neuroscientist, philanthropist, and Chancellor of Monash University in Melbourne who is also a co-founder of the magazine and Cosmos Media. The online website publishes articles, photos, and videos about the latest science news, discoveries, developments, events, and more. The Cosmos Magazine News Blog delivers news, views, and comments on a range of science topics and discoveries. Cosmos for Schools is a program that provides students and teachers with practical science education resources mapped to the Australian Curriculum and United States Next Generation Science Standards. It delivers multiple print magazines to libraries and digital magazines to every student and teacher in licensed schools. Cosmos Magazine was twice named as the Best Publisher at the annual Publishers Australia Excellence Awards. Cosmos was launched on June 1, 2005, and is published in Australia with a global outreach.
