The provided functionality allows the user to enter, manage and monitor blood sugar levels and meals in a diary alike manner. Thereby, graphic evaluation of the course of the blood sugar levels allows long-term monitoring of the disease. More in-depth analyses can be carried out using a tabular calculation program like Microsoft Excel by using the export functionality. In addition, Diabetes Assistant provides a reminder functionality to notify the user about important dates and appointments. The Diabetes Assistant user interface was developed especially for Apple’s new operating system, iOS 7 and features intuitive operation and a modern design.
