DOCKWA stemmed from their home in Newport, RI, where they realized that boaters are frustrated with the process of reserving a slip or mooring for their boat while they visit the area. The process is too complicated. So they set out to change the game—by allowing boaters to reserve via their smartphone, and giving marinas the ability to manage these reservations on the fly—saving time and significantly increasing their bottom line.
