Dyle TV is a mobile television service that provides everything its users like about broadcast television, including live local and national news, sports and entertainment, and more. In 2010, 12 major broadcast groups came together to develop a national mobile content service called Dyle TV through a joint venture known as, Mobile Content Venture. Mobile Content Venture is comprised of Fox, NBC, Pearl Mobile DTV, and ION. The Pearl member companies include Cox Media Group, E.W. Scripps General, Inc., Gannett Broadcasting, Hearst, Media General, Meredith Corporation, Post-Newsweek Stations, Inc., and Raycom Media. In order to receive Dyle TV, consumers need a device capable of receiving a specific type of mobile video broadcast, encrypted with standards-based conditional access. It is currently available in select major metropolitan areas. Dyle TV technology can turn a consumer’s iOS or Android smartphone or tablet into a portable TV. In partnership with several leading device and accessory manufacturers, including Samsung, MetroPCS, AudioVOX, Belkin, Elgato, Escort, and RCA, Dyle TV has made live, mobile television a reality.
