Ecologix provides expertise in the area of 3E linkages (Economy, Energy, and Environment) and Operations Research (Optimization Models) for providing business solutions in Energy Optimization and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Management. Energy Planner and Cost Optimizer (EPCO) and Greenhouse Gas Accounting and Mitigation Cost Optimizer (GAMCO); tools developed by Ecologix based on international accounting standards; are dynamic optimization models that help businesses and other organizations account for their current energy consumption and GHG emissions and identify least cost options for improving energy efficiency and GHG mitigation in the current and future years, through the following modules (a) The inventory module helps firms/sectors account for their energy consumption and GHG emissions. The tool is built upon accepted accounting frameworks and protocols to enable companies to accurately account for their energy and GHGs and fulfill regulatory/voluntary reporting standards. (b) The optimization module, through linear programming algorithms, helps ascertain the least cost plan for energy efficiency improvements and GHG mitigation under constrained/non constrained scenarios. (c) The analytics module provides a platform to model future uncertainties like regulatory changes, growth projections, oil price changes, mergers and acquisitions etc. and analyze their impact on energy efficiency improvement costs, GHG abatement costs and corporate/sectoral profitability, in order to drive strategic decisions. Ecologix provides solutions that result in energy/inventory cost savings and emission reductions. The tool can be used for both single and multi time period analysis. The entire product can be integrated with existing data sources and customized for internal reporting systems.
