Crowdfunding for free software

Elveos is a crowdfunding website dedicated to free software. Elveos allow people that use free software and that believe a piece of software lack a feature to indicate what they miss. Other people with the same need can then allocate some money for the creation of the feature. Once enough money is gathered, a developer starts working on the project, and when he's done he'll get the sum of all contributions. Elveos is not restricted to features, it can be used for translations, documentation... Indeed it can be used to finance anything under an open license (such as creative commons, GPL ...). Developers can also use elveos as a fundraising campaign manager: they can indicate that they woul like to create this feature, but want to raise a certain sum of money. By using the community, Elveos propose a way to solve one of the major problem of free software: the difficulty for a developer to get paid to create free software.
