empowr is building the world's first web-based democratic social economy that combines aspects of Facebook, eBay, Etsy and Tumblr. Users can earn through specialized knowledge-based roles and activities such as posting photos, videos, and blogs. empowr is currently in closed alpha and will be opened up to the general public in 2015.
