Based in Vienna, the company was started by two Austrian Airlines pilots who identified a need in the marketplace for PC-based flight planning solutions. The original product was deployed by Austrian Airlines in 1987 and has been in use ever since. Today, f:wz provides solutions to over 20 airlines and partners with key industry players, including Lockheed Martin and Airbus.
