InHand Guide is a technology company that makes it easier for organizations to provide self-directed or guided audio tour experience.
Founded by Trevor Winckworth, InHand Guides (IHG) Ltd provides low cost hand-held digital audio devices using MP3 technology. MP3 technology is the process of embedding audio onto ‘masked’ microchips which are then built into players. The devices can store and present digitised speech in any language and have a diverse range of applications in the areas of tourism, corporate advertising, health information and gift merchandising. Current customers include Trinity College Dublin, Glasnevin Cemetery, Ingenious Ireland, City Sights NY (New York), Irish Cancer Society, The London Eye, and the Sydney Tower Australia. The company also have healthcare applications for clients in South Africa.
