They put that capital to work in companies and investments with ethical management teams who want to make a positive difference in the world and create long-term value. Kestrel was founded by Mike Kane in 2005, after almost fifteen years of managing family investments outside the family office structure. Kestrel is known for its focus on direct investments in early technology ventures and its somewhat unconventional approach of concentration not diversification.
