MEF

The MEF is a nonprofit international industry consortium, dedicated to worldwide adoption of Carrier Ethernet networks and services.

MEF facilitates industry-neutral implementation environments for service orchestration (OpenLSO) and L2-L7 connectivity services (OpenCS) based on Open Source, SDN and NFV, as well as current commercial PNF products. MEF’s Certification programs have led to certification of compliance to MEF standards by the majority of industry leading companies. MEF provides a broad range of marketing capabilities that provide MEF members of all sizes and in all geographic locations with unique, powerful and cost-effective customer-networking and profile-raising opportunities.
